However, the Panthers’ offense looked rejuvenated under first year offensive coordinator Norv Turner. The most sack yards in the NFL in 15 years. Taylor Moton will have a true test in his first game at left tackle if he’s to protect Newton. Time to run CMC: Ron Rivera said in the offseason that Christian McCaffrey could see 25-30 touches per game. It’s time to put those words in action. He had a 71-yard touchdown run in the Panthers’ 27-20 preseason win over the Dolphins — the longest run from scrimmage in the NFC. Despite the many injures to the offensive line, CMC was able to rush 21 times for 151 yards and two scores in the preseason. McCaffrey not only showed off his versatility Cheap DJ Moore Jersey , but proved he’s able to run between the tackles. Don’t overthink, just throw the ball: Panthers have one of the most dynamic wide receiving corps in the league. Meanwhile, the Cowboys’ secondary is their weakest asset. Jourdan Lewis outplayed Anthony Brown in the preseason, despite Lewis not looking as confident. With how thin the Cowboys are at safety, Dallas recently acquired Ibraheim Campbell off waivers. But Campbell will have to get up to speed fast. Lightning Delays A Case Of Ridiculous Overkill As of this writing Mike Gesicki Jersey , we are still waiting, after about three hours worth of delays, in two installments, for the Miami Dolphins to resume their game at Hard Rock Stadium against the Tennessee Titans. Three hours, as you’re probably aware, is about the length of a typical NFL game -- including halftime and all TV timeouts. Looking at the technical aspects of the phenomenon that we refer to as lightning, there are two basic types: cloud-to-cloud and cloud-to-ground. While it’s obviously the latter that we’re concerned with, the presence of one generally results in the presence of the other. Here’s the problem, though, at least as it relates to the likelihood, or even the possibility, of a lightning strike injuring a player or fan at a sporting venue like Hard Rock Stadium: because the Dolphins’ home stadium now has a roof affixed to the top of it, and because lightning almost always strikes the highest point in a given vicinity when it reaches the earth, it would be virtually impossible for a bolt to come down from the skies above Dade County, pass through the rectangular aperture in the stadium’s roof and strike a player or official on the field of play below.That’s number one; number two is that with the fans attending the game almost completely protected by the recently installed roof above the stadium, it would would be even more prohibitively unlikely for a bolt to descend from the sky above, pass through the opening in the roof over the stadium and then make an ‘L’ shaped turn and strike an unsuspecting fan who is sitting in the stands. In other words, it would have to be a pretty smart bolt to take that kind of electrical path. Any meteorologist would tell us that even if a bolt of lightning were to strike near the top of the stadium, it would Authentic Jerome Baker Jersey , based simply on the laws of physics, hit the top of the superstructure that supports the roof, rather than passing through the roof and down onto the field or fan concourse below.Now, I understand that the league has to err on the side of caution in cases like this, and to be sure, about 35 people are killed every year in the U.S. by lighting. We can all agree that it would be absolutely catastrophic if someone were struck by an errant bolt of lightning from the heavens above, but this, to me, amounts to a case of ridiculous overkill on the part of the NFL. After all, if we’re worried about someone being injured or killed by a lightning strike, then, theoretically, couldn’t someone have died from hypothermia in the 1967 ‘Ice Bowl’ in Green Bay in the legendary championship game between the Cowboys and Packers?How about that AFC Championship game in January 1982, at Cincinnati, between the Chargers and Bengals? But then again, this isn’t 1967 or 1982, this is 2018, and in 2018, and what took place at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday afternoon is emblematic of our society today. Against a stingy Ravens’ defense, Carolina may not be given a second chance for a comeback. It’s important to keep in mind that the Saints became the first team this season to score a touchdown on the Ravens’ defense in the second half. The Saints were able to score on back-to-back 12-play touchdown drives. The Panthers’ offense needs to come prepared in the passing game and keep the defense honest with short throws, screens Authentic Luke Kuechly Jersey , and misdirection. Protect Cam: In Week 6 against the Titans, Ravens set a franchise record with a whomping 11 sacks. They lead the NFL in sacks with a total of 27. Power runs: The Saints’ dynamic running duo in Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara was a big reason for their success against the Ravens. I can’t wait to watch this kids’ career unfold.Stock-upTim Williams — I’ve wrote about him every preseason game this year. He’s ready to contribute.Stanley Jean-Baptiste — Hard to make final roster cuts and keep him off the final 53. He’s come on strong this preseason and with Jimmy Smith’s four-game suspension I expect Stanley to stay on the team this year.Patrick Onwuasor — He is fighting with everything he has to stay the starting linebacker. In limited snaps tonight, Peanut sacked the quarterback.Kenny Young — Just as Patrick is fighting, Young is responding. He also tallied a sack in this game and played well in coverage.Anthony Averett — Another endzone pass breakup for the rookie cornerback out of Alabama. The depth for the Ravens at corner is thrilling.Chuck Clark — He did suffer a broken tackle Womens Brandon Williams Jersey , but the interception and his coverage has more than made up for it. He’s looking great as a rotational player with room to develop.Janarion Grant — He’s looking more like the Ravens starting return man. He’s looked more explosive than Tim White.Tim White — Though he’s taken a back seat to Grant in the return game, he shined in the receiving game with three catches for 70 yards.De’Lance Turner — A 65-yard touchdown run catches the eyes of not only your team, but clubs around the league.Kaare Vedvik — A 58-yard punt, a 24-yard field goal and 2-2 on PAT’s. He’s kicking and punting very well.Stock-downTony Jefferson — I didn’t see positive play from Tony this game. They ran cover zero, a blitz where it is 1-on-1 across the board, and for some reason TJ is playing off-coverage. It was a short-yardage passing situation with the tight end split out wide and I don’t get the purpose of him being off the line of scrimmage. Maybe it’s the play call and not on Jefferson, but it did give Mike Gesicki his first preseason catch and a Dolphins first down.Jaleel Scott — Not impressed with the rookie. He hasn’t demonstrated much in camp besides being a big receiver.Jordan Lasley — Both White and Grant are out-playing these rookies.Breshad Perriman — Nothing flashed on tape. Just two catches for 13 yards.Second-string offensive line — Bad blocks. Bad blocks everywhere. Yes, Turner broke off a 65-yard touchdown run with some great blocking, but he only added another 10-yards with the other four carries. Also, look at the rushing totals for the following, Kenneth Dixon (5 rush, 2-yds), Gus Edwards (16 rush, 38-yds). One play can’t make up for the poor performance for the rest of the night.Robert Griffin III — A rough night for the backup quarterback as he was stuck with the second-string offensive line against the strength of Cameron Wake and Quinn. He couldn’t get any rhythm going and as a result I don’t believe he’ll be a trade asset.
