Sundays edition of WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs in Dallas is a prime example of how a good show can come together quickly in a short period of time, as long as youve done the necessary leg work in advance.Less than two weeks removed from Survivor Series, TLC is a pay-per-view boasting six well-built matches that make it a strong card throughout, and a counter to the concerns many voiced after the latest brand extension draft in July. During the first edition of the WWE brand split, all but the big four pay-per-views became brand-exclusive, starting with Insurrextion in June 2003 and continuing through No Way Out 2007 -- but even with the added burden of a gimmick-heavy show like TLC, the SmackDown Live crew has pumped out a highly anticipated show.What makes it even more impressive on paper is the wide variety of ways all six matches on the card came to be. One might have never expected someone like James Ellsworth to be the accelerant to a white-hot rivalry like Dean Ambrose and WWE world champion AJ Styles, or that such a lengthy Intercontinental title feud between The Miz and Dolph Ziggler would have people on the edge of their seats.Lets take a closer look at why TLC has the potential to become one of the best WWE pay-per-views of 2016.TLC match for WWE world championship: AJ Styles (c) versus Dean AmbroseHow Ellsworths involvement in the WWE world title feud hasnt yet grown sour will be a matter for wrestling scholars to debate decades from now. Lets just enjoy it while it lasts.The relationship between Ambrose and the chinless wonder had (with one notable exception) worked out well for both parties until Styles threw a wrench in things on Tuesdays go-home episode of SmackDown. A brutal beatdown by Styles on Ellsworth ended with a Styles Clash from the steel steps onto the floor below, and a trip in the ambulance. No matter the result in Sundays match, this final act of violence and Ambroses reaction to it will loom large in the third one-on-one pairing between Styles and Ambrose for the WWE world championship.The main event is one of only a couple of matches on this card thats almost certain not to be the end of the feud between combatants, as Ellsworths involvement, whether its in an active or accidental way, will no doubt weigh heavily upon the result. No matter who wins, Ellsworth still has a future WWE world title shot owed him, and the story here can branch off into multiple directions based upon the result.Keep an eye on Ambrose, who has teetered between heelish moments like pushing Shane McMahon to the brink of insanity and acts of kindness like riding to the hospital with Ellsworth. How he handles his little buddys presence will define this rivalry, which could easily carry on until the Royal Rumble.Prediction: My money is on Styles. Ambrose chasing Styles has been great so far, and as Ambrose gets more desperate and borders on decisions that would make him a hypocrite, the more dynamic this feud will be going forward.Ladder match for WWE Intercontinental championship: The Miz (c) versus Dolph ZigglerHere we are. Finally, in the sixth televised Intercontinental championship match between The Miz and Ziggler during their current feud, we have reached the end to this lengthy chapter between long-time rivals.While the shock of the title change just before Survivor Series left a sour taste in the mouths of a lot of fans, most due to Zigglers prior sacrifice of placing his career on the line to become champion, each match has offered something different. In this decisive ladder match, expect two things: Both men will beat the living hell out of each other, and The Miz will employ everyone from his wife, Maryse, to any member of The Spirit Squad he can dust off to retain the title.Theres a lot of history in WWE Intercontinental championship ladder matches stealing the show, and while thats an unfair amount of pressure to lay upon these guys, this should be a fun one.Prediction: As much as I want The Miz to move on to bigger things, I think he holds on here.?While it would seem a great time for The Miz to move up to a world title feud, both world titles are currently locked tightly in conflicts that appear unlikely to end soon. This is also a loss for Ziggler, who could really use the title right now and looked to be starting something fun until he unexpectedly dropped it back to The Miz.Tables match for WWE SmackDown womens championship: Becky Lynch (c) versus Alexa BlissThe stipulation of tables should even the playing field in this case, and while the recent hot potato treatment of WWE titles hasnt been great (especially with the Raw women), theres enough of an argument to make for the interesting things that can be done with Bliss as champion to make a change here worth it.?Bliss has come into her own, and if she loses, she seems destined to take a step out of the spotlight for the time being. You might not have thought it in the beginning, but Lynch and Bliss have brought out big things in one another; for Lynch, a definitive edge she was lacking, and for Bliss, a sharper in-ring style.Prediction:?Lynch deserves a lengthy reign to properly establish this new title, and there are plenty of others who can chase her. Still, there are some screwy things that can happen with this stipulation, and if theres a time when Id be okay with some shenanigans to keep a rivalry going, it might just be right here.WWE SmackDown tag team championship: Heath Slater & Rhyno (c) versus The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt & Randy Orton)Theres a lot to be said about just how interesting the tag team division is getting on SmackDown. Having a team of two well-established stars holding the title is great because it allows for matches like Tuesday when American Alpha was able to shine brightly in defeat opposite Wyatt and Orton.Allowing Wyatt a chance to finally win a title is also a big part of this most recent reclamation mission. He has his legs underneath him again, especially after he and Orton were the last men standing at Survivor Series, but needs to work a lot harder to keep Wyatt strong as an intimidating monster. Lets hope this is the time Wyatt ascends to his rightful place at the top of the WWE totem pole.Prediction: Slater and Rhyno have had a heck of a Cinderella run, but all good stories must come to an end. Look for Orton and Wyatt to win and lord over the tag division for a significant stretch. American Alpha should challenge them early, and often.No disqualification match: Nikki Bella versus CarmellaThis match has been a long time in the making, and while it lost some steam amid an almost endless string of Carmella blindside attacks, the past couple of weeks of promos have reignited some of that fire. Carmella continued a trend of less-than-PG actions as she went on about John Cena and Nikkis Bella Twins, and the anger on Bellas face as she ran out Tuesday felt real.Its high time these two settled their score in an actual match, and the No-DQ stipulation plays perfectly into the animosity between these two.Prediction: It would say a lot if Carmella was able to talk that much smack about Cena and Bella and get away with it, and I dont think she will -- Nikki gets her revenge here. That said, I think both of them can do a lot with this platform, and look for the winner to be next up to challenge Lynch for the gold.Chairs match: Baron Corbin versus KalistoA lot of things involving Corbin have dragged since his main roster debut and victory in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, but this actually feels like the most important conflict Corbin has been involved in since joining SmackDown.Both superstars have each cost the other something tangible; Kalisto missed out on both the cruiserweight and Intercontinental championships, while Corbin was dropped from a high-profile opportunity in the mens traditional Survivor Series match (albeit one he didnt seem exactly thrilled about). Both men have injured the other as well, and both have the right skill set to make a David versus Goliath-type match look good.Prediction: I think its close, but Ill go with Corbin putting away Kalisto after a high-flying move goes awry.
