A welterweight fight between former champion Robbie Lawler and Donald Cerrone has been scrapped from UFC 205 on Nov. 12 in Madison Square Garden, just days after UFC president Dana White confirmed the matchup.White confirmed via text to ESPN.com on Saturday that Lawler (27-11) has pulled out from the bout. The 34-year-old is coming off a first-round knockout loss to Tyron Woodley in July. Prior to that, he was in back-to-back five-round battles with Carlos Condit and Rory MacDonald.For the time being, Cerrone (31-7), a former lightweight title challenger, is without an opponent at UFC 205. The promotion has not officially announced any bouts for the pay-per-view card, beyond Whites confirmation of Lawler and Cerrone.Early Saturday morning, White posted an image on social media of a text conversation with Cerrone, in which Cerrone offered to fight light heavyweight Francimar Barroso on less than 24 hours notice in Cleveland.
