HARRISBURG, Pa. -- A senior judge will preside over the criminal trial of three former Penn State administrators on charges stemming from their handling of child molestation complaints about former assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, a court spokesman said Friday.Retired Berks County Judge John Boccabella was appointed June 30 by the states chief justice to handle the case in Harrisburg after Dauphin County judges recused themselves.Criminal charges against former university vice president Gary Schultz and former athletic director Tim Curley were first filed in 2011, followed a year later by charges against former president Graham Spanier.All three men vigorously deny the allegations against them, and some of their more serious charges were dismissed in January by an appeals court that determined their right to legal representation was violated by the actions of the universitys then-general counsel.The case against the three has dragged on largely in secret, as the appeals issue concerned matters related to the grand jury that investigated in 2011 and recommended charges against Curley, Schultz and Sandusky.More recently, a Dauphin County judge directed defense attorneys and the attorney generals office to file pretrial motions this month and let him know if they wanted a hearing.All three defendants have filed the documents , which were published online Friday afternoon, seeking dismissal of charges. Dickey with two outs in the eighth inning Wednesday night, lifting New York to a 4-2 victory over the Blue Jays for Torontos 12th straight loss at Yankee Stadium. "Its unbelievable, 4,000 hits," Soriano said of Suzukis milestone. "To get 4,000 hits, you have to be a great hitter." The 39-year-old Suzuki hit a liner off Dickey (9-12) that bounced just beyond diving third baseman Brett Lawrie for the milestone hit. Pete Rose with 4,256 hits and Ty Cobb with 4,191 are the only two players that have reached the number solely in the major leagues. Suzuki broke a tie with Lou Gehrig when he got his 2,722nd major league hit in his 13th season. The speedy outfielder amassed 1,278 hits in nine seasons with Orix of Japans Pacific League. Suzukis teammates streamed out of the dugout and surrounded him at first base, Curtis Granderson giving him the first hug.
