Battle had signed a future reserve contract with Carolina at the end of 2018, but has never appeared in a regular season game for the Panthers.Cutting Searcy is a questionable move considering the Panthers don’t have many options at free safety. After deciding against improving the depth chart in the draft, it was assumed that meant the Panthers were comfortable with Searcy being the starter alongside Eric Reid heading into 2019 Jordan Scarlett Jersey , but with this decision it appears that the name being penciled into the starting lineup at free safety is second-year player Rashaan Gaulden. He has enough speed to get to the edge and also times his cuts well. So Bonnafon does a lot of things well but the questions is does he fill the role the Panthers must envision for him?
