Plouffe left Tuesdays game against the Braves in the 10th inning after being kicked in the head by second baseman Dan Uggla while trying to break up a double play. In 37 games this season, Plouffe is hitting .254 with four homers and 17 RBI. Minnesota selected the contract of first baseman Chris Colabello from Triple-A Rochester and transferred outfielder Darin Mastroianni to the 60-day disabled list.
