NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans have signed Tim Shaw to a one-day contract as the former NFL linebacker continues his battle against Lou Gehrigs disease, also known as ALS.The Titans announced the signing on their website Wednesday and called Shaw a Titan for life.The 32-year-old Shaw played in the NFL for Carolina (2007), Jacksonville (2008), Chicago (2009) and Tennessee (2010-12).Shaw, a former Titans special-teams captain, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis in April 2014.
