Heres our guide to the grounds where South Africa and England will face off in their five-match one-day international series... BLOEMFONTEIN (First ODI, February 3)Capacity: 20,000Guide to the ground:Hosted its first one-day international in December 1992 when South Africa cruised to an eight-wicket victory over India. The Proteas have a strong record at the ground, and havent lost there for 14 years, although they have yet to better England in three meetings there. The ground boasts some of the best floodlights in the country and is regularly used for day/night matches, as it will be for Englands latest visit on Wednesday.Highest team ODI total: 351-6 (SOUTH AFRICA v Zimbabwe, Oct 2010)Lowest team ODI total: 90ao (KENYA v India, Oct 2001)Highest individual ODI total: 145no (Brendan Taylor, ZIMBABWE v South Africa, Oct 2010)Best bowling in an ODI innings: 5-42 (Lance Klusener, SOUTH AFRICA v India, Jan 1997)South Africa record: P21 W14 L6 T1Englands record: P3 W2 L0 T1 Kabir Ali celebrates after dismissing Andrew Hall to earn England a tie against South Africa at Bloemfontein Englands memories:Englands last game on the ground was way back in 2005, but what an epic encounter it was, with Kevin Pietersen scoring his first ODI century for England, back in his country of birth. Kabir Ali - remember him? - then earned the team a tie, picking up two wickets and a run out in the final over with South Africa needing only eight to win. England won their first two visits with Sky Sports Dominic Cork (3-44) and Michael Atherton (85) starring in 1996, and Nasser Hussain (85) and Nick Knight (71) in 2000.PORT ELIZABETH (Second ODI, February 6)Capacity: 19,000Guide to the ground:The grounds historic name is St Georges Park and has the nickname The Dragons Lair, based on the famous legend of St George. Despite that, memories of England being slain by the Aussies at the ground to be knocked out of the 2003 World Cup will loom large.Highest team ODI total: 335-6 (PAKISTAN v South Africa, Dec 2002)Lowest team ODI total: 112ao (NEW ZEALAND v Australia, Mar 2003)Highest individual ODI total: 135 (Saleem Elahi, PAKISTAN v South Africa, Dec 2002)Best bowling in an ODI innings: 7-20 (Andy Bichel, AUSTRALIA v England, Mar 2003) Andy Bichel celebrates as another England wicket tumbles in his 7-20 for Australia in Port Elizabeth South Africa record: P29 W18 L10 NR1Englands record: P5 W2 L3Englands memories:Before we mention that loss to Australia in the 2003 World Cup, its worth noting that one of Englands two wins at the ground came earlier in the tournament, albeit a hardly emphatic 55-run win over minnows Namibia. Andy Bichels record figures of 7-20 and a handy cameo with the bat - 34no off 36 balls - plus the standard Michael Bevan (74no) showing against England, saw them lose on their next visit, but on the 2009/10 tour of South Africa, Jimmy Anderson took ODI-best figures of 5-23 as England won convincingly by seven wickets.CENTURION (Third ODI, February 9)Capacity: 21,000Guide to the Ground:England wont relish returning to the scene of their heavy 280-run, fourth-Test defeat to South Africa, but spectators might, as the vast grass embankments which make up most of the stadium are ideal for cricket watching. Kagiso Rabada was the standout performer for SOuth Africa, taking 13 wickets, as England slumped to defeat at Centurion Highest team ODI total: 392-6 (SOUTH AFRICA v Pakistan, Feb 2007)Lowest team ODI total: 119ao (ZIMBABWE v South Africa, Nov 2009)Highest individual ODI total: 169no (Dave Callaghan, SOUTH AFRICA v New Zealand, Dec 1994)Best bowling in an ODI innings: 5-14 (Trent Johnston, IRELAND v Canada, Apr 2009)South Africa record: P33 W21 L11 NR1Englands record: P5 W2 L3Englands memories:England have beaten South Africa on their last two one-day visits to the ground, either side of a semi-final loss to Australia in the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy. A 22-run win over the Proteas earlier in the tournament helped them reach that stage, before centuries for Shane Watson and Ricky Ponting easily saw off their 258-run target to advance to the final. A mere matter of months later, Paul Collingwood tonked a ton of his own as England beat South Africa by seven wickets on their 2009/10 tour.JOHANNESBURG (Fourth ODI, February 12)Capacity: 34,000Guide to the Ground: Scene of Stuart Broads 6-17 that clinched England the Test series, so England - and Broad in particular, if he plays - will be happy to return to the lofty heights of The Wanderers. The high-altitude stadium also hosted the 2003 World Cup final, and was the scene of the one of the most extraordinary one-day matches in history in 2006, when the hosts successfully chased Australias record total of 434-4. Then AB de Villiers record 31-ball hundred against the West Indies saw South Africa better both totals early last year. AB de Villiers celebrates his record-fastest ODI hundred for South Africa at The Wanderers in Johannesburg Highest team ODI total: 439-2 (SOUTH AFRICA v West Indies, Jan 2015)Lowest team ODI total: 109ao (PAKISTAN v South Africa, Jan 1995)Highest individual ODI total: 175 (Herschelle Gibbs, SOUTH AFRICA v Australia, Mar 2006)Best bowling in an ODI innings: 5-20 (Shaun Pollock, SOUTH AFRICA v England, Feb 2000)South Africa record: P29 W21 L8Englands record: P5 W2 L3Englands memories:England have not faced South Africa at the ground since their win over their hosts in 2005, as the planned meeting in 2009 was washed out without a ball being bowled, and only a 2009 Champions Trophy win over Sri Lanka, and defeat to New Zealand to their name since. Could this years rematch be another low scorer? As no team has scored more than 213 in any innings in the five England visits to the ground, with Shaun Pollocks 5-20 in South Africas win over the tourists in 2000 the best figures.CAPE TOWN (Fifth ODI, February 14)Capacity: 25,000 Watch Ben Stokes score the second fastest double century in history on day two of the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town. Guide to the Ground:Newlands, described by many as one of the most beautiful cricket grounds in the world, is nestled behind and at the foot of Table Mountain. It hasnt been very pretty for England of late though, yet to win a Test there since South Africas readmission, and with only one ODI win to their name. For South Africa meanwhile, the ground is somewhat of a fortress, only losing five from 30, although two of those defeats have come in their two most recent ODIs. Oh, and Ben Stokes certainly wont mind another bat on the same surface that saw him score a record-breaking 258 off 198 balls in the recent Test there.Highest team ODI total: 354-3 (SOUTH AFRICA v Kenya, Oct 2001)Lowest team ODI total: 43ao (PAKISTAN v West Indies, Feb 1993)Highest individual ODI total: 131no (Neil McKenzie, SOUTH AFRICA v Kenya, Oct 2001)Best bowling in an ODI innings: 6-19 (Henry Olonga, Zimbabwe v England, Jan 2000)South Africa record: P30 W25 L5Englands record: P6 W1 L5 James Anderson celebrates one of his four wickets in Englands 2003 World Cup win over Pakistan in Cape Town Englands memories:Englands record at the ground could be so much better were it not for a couple of agonising near-misses in their first two games. Chasing 212 to win in 1996, England collapsed from 155-3 to a six-run defeat, before suffering a one-run loss in 2000. Henry Olonga - yes, Henry Olonga - then took a record 6-19 on the ground in a tri-series win for Zimbabwe two days later. Herschelle Gibbs hit a hundred in a 2005 win, while AB de Villiers solitary ODI hundred against England saw them off in the last meeting. England have registered one win at the venue though - albeit not against South Africa - and what a win it was, with a young Jimmy Anderson announcing himself on the world stage with 4-29 to rip through Pakistan at the 2003 World Cup.Watch Englands five-match ODI series and two-match T20I series against South Africa live on Sky Sports 2. Denis Coderre, the former federal MP who was elected mayor on Nov. 3, has drawn the ire of some Montreal Canadiens. During last nights game he tweeted: "Hello? Can we get a one-way ticket to (minor-league) Hamilton for David Desharnais please. This post contains spoilers.Ginny Baker (portrayed by Kylie Bunbury) is human, and that sentiment seemed be the underlying theme in the fourth episode of Pitch, Foxs new drama about the first woman to play Major League Baseball. In the episode, entitled The Break, Baker is named to the All-Star team while juggling an intense relationship with her mother -- and her mothers boyfriend, which is an added stress for the young pitcher. There are probably viewers who thought Ginny Baker as an All-Star was an undeserved storyline at best, and cheesy at worst. If Baker were pitching in 2016, however, there absolutely would be a giant social media campaign to #PutHerInTheGame. The problem is that Baker isnt an All-Star in the traditional sense of the term. Shes won her last three games, but isnt the best pitcher on her team, let alone one of the best in the league. Yet by popular demand shes made the elite team.Sometimes characters are written to be a bit arrogant or confident -- blinding them to their own flaws. Baker, however, is fiercely competitive and knows when she isnt playing well or hasnt earned something.Interestingly, manager Al Luongo (Dan Lauria) encouraged her to accept the offer to play in the game. Take the pity date, he said, referencing how his wife only went out with him because she felt sorry for him. It doesnt matter why they say yes; it matters what you do after they say it.This is a feeling that many marginalized people know quite well. Women, people of color, the LGBTQ community, etc., are frequently told that they must earn their opportunities to prove that they are just as good as those in the privileged majority. It is a function of meritocracy, or the ideal that, in the United States, rewards are based upon a persons hard work. However, many opportunities and spaces are closed to those typically marginaalized, or at least are rife with barriers to entry.dddddddddddd Boardrooms, writers rooms, and ballclub front offices are a few examples. That scarcity of representation creates immense pressure to justify the presence. No doubt Baker felt that when she took the mound.Once in the game, she promptly gave up a home run (which the announcers gleefully highlighted). No one shoulders a bigger burden than Baker, and even when shes successful in the league, there are moments when that sense of pressure shows.Adding to that burden, is the complexity of her relationships (and lack thereof) with her family. Bakers mother, Janet (Chastity Dotson), makes an appearance in this episode, and to say their relationship is tense would be an understatement. It is revealed that a portion of Bakers tenacity for baseball was developed as a means to get back at her mother, after Baker witnessed her get a little too close to a man who was not Bakers father. It turns out, that same man is now Janets boyfriend, and she brought him to San Diego (Baker pitches for the San Diego Padres). These glimpses of Baker off the mound create a deeper sense of humanity for the character. Shes strong, vulnerable and capable. And isnt that what all women are? Bunbury asked me rhetorically during a set visit in August.Baker is not meant to be a superhero, but she is doing superhuman work, both in the fictional Pitch universe and in viewers living rooms. She turns conversations about worth on their heads, and she is constantly humanizing women at a time when society might need that most. The character implores us to look past the burden she carries and see her for the person -- the human -- that she is. Shes exactly the hero we need. ' ' '
