OAKLAND, Calif. Cedric Paquette Jersey . -- No technical fouls or flagrant fouls. No hard hits or out-of-the ordinary elbows. Not even a dust up or any extra chatter after the whistle. This time, the Golden State Warriors wore down the Los Angeles Clippers the old-fashioned way. David Lee had 22 points and 11 rebounds, Andrew Bogut grabbed 17 boards and the Warriors whipped the Clippers 111-92 Thursday night in the first game since the emerging Pacific Division rivals spirited Christmas meeting. "If our defence is switched on like it was tonight," Bogut said, "we have a chance to be a very good team." Stephen Curry scored 22 points and handed out seven assists, and Bogut added 14 points and three blocks to highlight Golden States dominating performance down low. The Warriors outrebounded the Clippers 53 to 34 and outscored them 66 to 22 in the paint. "Weve had some special nights, so its not like we are trying to reach for something we are not capable of doing," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said. "We are all well aware of it. What I liked about tonight was that we set the tone early and battled." Blake Griffin finished with 27 points, Darren Collison scored 22 and DeAndre Jordan grabbed 20 rebounds for Los Angeles, which had won four straight. The Clippers looked worn out after beating Washington on Wednesday night in Los Angeles, dropping to 10-4 since All-Star point guard Chris Paul has been sidelined with a separated right shoulder. The Warriors outscored the Clippers 26-11 in the third quarter to go ahead by 23 points. Los Angeles went just 1 for 15 from the floor in the period. "I dont think there was a chance for chippiness tonight," Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. "If anybody would have got chippy in this game, they would have been suspended for the year. Why would you be chippy tonight? Youre down by 30." Golden State improved to 2-1 against the Clippers this season, with the home team winning each time. The Warriors (28-19) also moved within four games of the Clippers (33-16) and percentage points of Phoenix (28-18) in the Pacific Division. The Warriors had lost six of nine entering the game after winning 10 in a row. Jackson had called out his team for playing down to its competition too often after a lacklustre loss to the Wizards on Tuesday night. Playing the Clippers was one matchup that Jackson didnt have to worry about his teams focus. The series has grown increasingly testy the past two seasons as both franchises have transformed from perennial losers into Western Conference contenders. That included Golden States win in Oakland on Christmas night, which featured two ejections, two flagrant fouls and three technical fouls. Emotions never escalated in the rematch. The Warriors took control before most of the announced sellout crowd 19,596 had settled into their seats. Bogut beat Griffin for a baseline alley-oop in the opening minutes and added a pair of blocks, and Harrison Barnes soared for two driving dunks during a run propelled by the second unit that put the Warriors ahead 48-29 with 8:25 remaining in the half. Los Angeles answered behind defence and dunks -- mostly by Griffin -- in its lone run of the game. The Clippers cut Golden States lead to 64-56 at the half, leaving most fans stunned and silent, but only for a moment. "The energy was bad. I just didnt really feel like I ever had that wind or that second gear," said Griffin, who was held to just three rebounds after getting guarded mostly by Bogut. The Warriors showed incredible ball movement and rebounding prowess to begin the third quarter on a 16-2 run that had all kinds of highlights. None of the big plays during the spurt received more roars than Boguts 20-foot jumper over Jordan with the shot clock about to expire. The Warriors big man shrugged and smiled at Jordan while backpedaling to the other end, part of a run that also turned the game into a laugher. "I wish we had it figured out," Lee said, "to do it every game." NOTES: The Warriors have won 15 of the last 17 against the Clippers in Oakland. ... Paul, who was announced as a reserve for the Western Conference All-Star team Thursday, said its too soon to know whether hell be able to return for the Feb. 16 game in New Orleans. ... The Clippers and Warriors meet for the final time during the regular season March 12 in Los Angeles. ... San Francisco Giants closer Sergio Romo tossed T-shirts to fans during a timeout in the second half. Martin St. Louis Jersey . These teams will see plenty of each other in the next few weeks as three of the Canucks next nine games are against the Wild (after today they meet February 9th in Minnesota and again February 16th at Rogers Arena). Tampa Bay Lightning Jerseys . Its the second time this season that Milan has been sanctioned by the league judge, after fans also subjected Napoli supporters to discriminatory chants. "I just think what it does for everybody in life is real simple," said Babcock early on Friday afternoon. "You dont give in. You just keep on keeping on. Is it going to go your way every time? No. But you choose your attitude and how you perform and how hard you dig in." Nearly four years to the day of the 2010 gold medal match in Vancouver, his team dug in with its best effort of these Olympics, snuffing out the high-powered Americans for another opportunity at gold.Ronald Koeman returns to St Marys Stadium for the first time when Everton travel to Southampton for Sundays Premier League meeting live on Sky Sports. The Dutchman raised eyebrows when he swapped sixth-placed Southampton for the 11th-placed Toffees in the summer, signing a three-year contract at Goodison Park after two years on the south coast.Everton sit five points ahead of Southampton after the first three months of the new campaign, but did Koeman make the right call? We weigh up the cases for and against with an expert verdict from Matt Le Tissier… FORKoeman cited Evertons ambition as the main factor behind his decision, and while summer spending did not come close to the mooted £100m figure, there was evidence of new owner Farhad Moshiris intentions with the £28m signing of Yannick Bolasie from Crystal Palace. Everton manager Ronald Koeman greets Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola That deal, by way of contrast, was worth nearly twice as much as Southamptons club-record move for Sofiane Boufal, and it highlighted the difference in financial firepower that convinced Koeman to swap the south coast for Merseyside.Everton were frustrated in their efforts to sign Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Perez, among others, but Koeman is expected to receive more backing from Moshiri in January. Indeed, he has already expressed an interest in Manchester Uniteds Wayne Rooney and Memphis Depay - targets that would have been out of reach at his former club. Soton vs Everton November 27, 2016, 4:15pm Live on Get Sky Sports Get a Sky Sports pass Its not just about signings, either. From Luke Shaw and Adam Lallana to Morgan Schneiderlin and Victor Wanyama, Koeman was powerless to stop a string of key players from departing St Marys during his time at Southampton. It was far from ideal, and while Everton did lose John Stones to Manchester City this summer, the £50m deal suited both parties, and their success in resisting Chelseas efforts to sign Romelu Lukaku was the kind of strong statement Koeman had been craving. The Belgian is one of the Premier Leagues finest strikers. Southampton simply dont have anyone like him. Romelu Lukaku has impressed under Ronald Koeman this season Koeman also has plenty of room for improvement in his new environment. The upshot of guiding Southampton to a sixth-placed finish last season was that it would have been a massive task to continue their progression. But while there were suspicions that the Saints had hit their ceiling, there was real scope for improvement at Everton. Its not been a straightforward start and performances have been mixed, but the Toffees are level on points with sixth-placed Manchester United, five ahead of Southampton and well within reach of the European places.AGAINSTEverton boast more spending power than Southampton, but Koeman has left behind a club who had mastered the transfer market. The Saints ability to effectively replace key players with cheaper alternatives allowed them to defy the odds season after season, with Oriol Romeus recent emergence the latest succcess story. Mikhail Sergachev Jersey. Ronald Koeman guided Southampton to a sixth-placed finish last season Everton hope the appointment of former Leicester recruitment guru Steve Walsh as their director of football will help them establish the same kind of system, but its not guaranteed, and Everton missed out on a number of targets during the summer. It could take time to make things work, whereas at Southampton the building blocks were already in place. The same logic can be applied to the argument that Everton have more room to improve. Koeman may have struggled to match last years sixth-placed finish at Southampton, but he had nurtured stability there. At Everton, on the other hand, he inherited a team in disarray after Roberto Martinezs tenure. Theres money to spend, but its still a challenging rebuilding job. Everton 1-1 Swansea There is also an argument that Koeman might have been better off building on his impressive work at Southampton and waiting for a bigger offer. Everton are a prestigious club with a proud history, of course, but the move was seen as a sideways step in many quarters. Could another year at St Marys have opened other doors?Koeman has made no secret of his ambition to manage his former club Barcelona, but starting over at another middling Premier League club might not be seen as the best way to go about building his CV. By leaving Southampton, Koeman also missed an opportunity to have another crack at the Europa League.MATT LE TISSIERS VERDICTI said at the time that I was surprised that he almost made a backwards step. I think its going to be tougher for him at Everton than he thought. No disrespect to Everton but I thought he could have got a bigger move given the great work he did at Southampton.Having said that, I think it would be too early for him to regret moving. Theres still plenty of time for the investment, assuming it is there. You can understand why he went, with there being more money for him to attract players. I think its going to be tougher for him at Everton than he thought. Matt Le Tissier on Ronald Koeman Id expect them to invest in January and the summer as I think he wanted to assess his squad first. If he doesnt spend big then I think that might be a sign that he has been sold down the river a bit.Its been a decent start but hes come across plenty of bumps in the road.HAVE YOUR SAY Also See: Koeman: Everton start was flat WATCH: Premier League goals Wholesale NFL T-shirts Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping NFL Jerseys Wholesale China NFL Gear Wholesale NFL Camo Jerseys Cheap NFL Hoodies Camo China NFL Jerseys ' ' '
