The Capitals have gone 5-0-2 since their last regulation loss on Dec. 2. Following a 20-round shootout loss to Florida on Tuesday, Washington fought back two nights later for a 5-4 overtime victory against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Caps led 2-0 early, but fell behind by a goal with 4:25 to play in regulation. However, Troy Brouwer netted a game-tying goal just 1:25 later and Eric Fehr had the winner 42 seconds into overtime. Fehr, Jason Chimera and Karl Alzner each recorded a goal and an assist for Washington, with Braden Holtby making 22 saves in Thursdays win.
