CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Running back Giovani Bernard slipped through the line, caught Andy Daltons short pass, then turned and saw something shocking. Micah Hyde Jersey . One of the NFLs top defences had given him a big opening. The elusive rookie turned the catch into a 27-yard touchdown on Monday night, one of his two scores that made all the difference in the Cincinnati Bengals 20-10 victory over the struggling Pittsburgh Steelers. "I saw green grass," said Bernard, a second-round pick from North Carolina. "Once you see green grass, youve got to take it. You dont get many chances like that. When you do, youve got to take it." He wasnt the only rookie putting their new imprint on an old rivalry. Top pick Tyler Eifert made a 61-yard catch that set up Bernards 7-yard run for his first NFL touchdown. Together, they gave a preview of what the Bengals (1-1) could become with two new pass catchers in the offence. "Gios done a good job," Dalton said. "We drafted him to be versatile, move around the backfield and make big plays. And thats exactly what weve gotten out him." The Bengals piled up 407 yards on one of the NFLs toughest defences, holding the ball for more than 35 minutes. The Steelers fell to 0-2 for the first time since 2002, done in by another game of self-destruction on offence. Pittsburgh had two turnovers in scoring range and couldnt hold the ball long enough to give their defence a breather, failing to get a first down on seven of their 12 possessions. "Theres not a lot of positives going on right now," said Ben Roethlisberger, who was 20 of 37 for 251 yards with one touchdown and a deflected interception. "We cant start doubting each other. Right now, theres a general feeling of being upset." It was a chance for the Bengals to show theyve supplanted the Steelers in the AFC North. They beat Pittsburgh 13-10 at Heinz Field last December to reach the playoffs, and now have moved ahead of them again with a rare Monday night win. Cincinnati is 10-20 in Monday night games. "This doesnt define anything until you look back at the end of the year," coach Marvin Lewis said. The Bengals put the ball in the Daltons hands in the first half, letting him pass away while they all but abandoned the run against one of the NFLs top defences. Dalton had an up-and-down game, finishing 25 of 45 for 280 yards. Cincinnatis rookies provided the big plays. Eifert got open between cornerback Ike Taylor and safety Ryan Clark for his 61-yard catch. Bernard finished the long drive with a 7-yard run, his first touchdown in the NFL, for the early lead. The Steelers needed to get their offence moving after a horrid opener. They ran for only 32 yards and Roethlisberger was sacked five times during a 16-9 home loss to Tennessee. Worse, the Steelers lost Pro Bowl centre Maurkice Pouncey for the rest of the season with a torn knee ligament. Fernando Velasco, signed a week earlier, started in his place Monday. They werent significantly better in Cincinnati. Roethlisberger got Pittsburghs offence moving in spurts. He completed all five of his passes on a touchdown drive that pulled the Steelers into a 10-all tie at halftime, including completions of 19 and 43 yards to Emmanuel Sanders. Shaun Suisham kicked a 44-yard field goal, and the Steelers had a chance to add to the lead in the first half. But another mistake -- and theyve had a lot of those already -- provided the games first turning point. Pinned at their 3-yard line after a punt, the Steelers drove into scoring position. Roethlisberger completed a 34-yard pass to tight end David Paulson, who fumbled the ball as he was tackled. Adam "Pacman" Jones forced the fumble and recovered it at the Cincinnati 13-yard line. Another of Roethlisbergers passes went off Jerricho Cotcherys hands and was picked off at the Bengals 13-yard line in the fourth quarter, essentially sealing it. The most intriguing question: Could Steeler-turned-Bengal James Harrison leave a mark on Pittsburghs mess of an offence? Nope. He didnt have a sack or a tackle. Notes: The Bengals rushed for 127 yards, with BenJarvus Green-Ellis getting 75 on 22 carries. Bernard ran eight times for 38 yards. ... The Bengals have consecutive wins over the Steelers for the first time since 2009. ... Roethlisberger was sacked twice by a defence that failed to get one in Chicago. Reid Ferguson Jersey . The Durban-based Sharks withstood a furious second-half fightback to beat the Queensland Reds 35-20 for a fourth straight win which gave them a five-point lead atop the championship table. The Hamilton-based Chiefs scored two late tries to beat the Cape Town-based Stormers 36-20 for their third win, after the Stormers rallied from 24-6 down to 24-20 with six minutes remaining. http://www.cheapbillsjerseyssale.com/?tag=corey-bojorquez-jersey-sale .Cameron sustained his third concussion in three seasons last week on a hit by Oakland safety Brandion Ross, who was fined $22,050 by the NFL for the helmet-to-helmet blow.SAN FRANCISCO -- Except for about 30 friends and family in the stands, Sacramento native Vance Worley silenced the announced crowd of 41,794 at AT&T Park with the best performance of his career. Worley tossed a four-hitter for his first shutout, and the Pittsburgh Pirates pounded Madison Bumgarner early in a 5-0 win over the struggling Giants on Monday night. "Just glad I gave them something fun to watch," said Worley, who didnt grow up a Giants fan but heard "a lot of lip" from friends after coming up in the Phillies organization. Worley sure seems to bring his best against San Francisco. Worley (4-1) struck out three and walked one in an efficient 100-pitch outing. His only other complete game came in a 7-2 win over the Giants on July 26, 2011, in Philadelphia. Four players drove in a run off Bumgarner (12-8) in the first, and Josh Harrison hit his seventh homer in the second to provide all of Pittsburghs pop. Worley worked over batters the rest of the way to hand San Francisco its fifth straight loss and 12th shutout this season. The right-hander was acquired from Minnesota on March 25 for a player to be named or cash. He spent time in extended spring training and with Triple-A Indianapolis before being thrust into Pittsburghs rotation because of injuries. Worley has made the most of his opportunities in the majors. He has a 2.54 ERA in eight appearances this season, including seven starts. "He had to fight back. He had to make some adjustments," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. "Hes been focused. Hes been prepared. Hes not doing anything he hasnt done before. His confidence is playing. The command is whats showing up." Worley didnt allow a baserunner until Pablo Sandoval singled for the first of his two hits. Gregor Blanco hit a swinging bunt single in the sixth before being nabbed trying to steal second. And Hunter Pences two-out triple in the ninth was the only other hit off Worley. The Giants, who were just swept in a three-game home series by the Dodgers to fall out of first place in the NL West, were counting on their All-Star pitcher to help wash away their woes. He had allowed one run in 14 innings since the All-Star break and was coming off his best start of the season. All that evaporated in a 41-pitch first. He allowed three hits, two walks and committed one of two San Francisco errors in the inning when he misfired to second trying to pickoff Andrew McCutchen. TRAINERS ROOM Pirates: Left fielder Starling Marte can come off the concussion list Wednesday but likely wont resume baseball activities until a few days after that. Giants: First baseman Brandon Belt passed his concussion test, resumed working out and is expected to return early in the teams 10-game road trip that begins Friday at the New York Mets. ... Backup catcher Hector Sanchez failed his concussion test and said he will be out least another three days. ... Center fielder Angel Pagan (back) will go through his pregame workout routine Tuesday in Arizona, and if everything goes well the Giants will set a date for his rehab assignment. ON DECK Pirates: LHP Francisco Liriano (2-7, 4.18 ERA) looks for his second straight victory. Giants: RHP Tim Hudson (8-7, 2.65 ERA) tries to stop his three-game home losing streak. TURN TWO: The Pirates helped Worley out with two double plays, including a spectacular turn by second baseman Neil Walker in the fourth. Walker grabbed shortstop Jordy Mercers glove scoop barehanded while falling, turned and threw to first to get Michael Morse. "I knew I was going to have to bare-hand the ball, but I just didnt know where it was going to be," Walker said. "It was kind of just instinctual." HOME-FIELD DISADVANTAGE After starting the season 22-9 at home, the Giants are 6-20 in San Francisco since and 28-29 overall. "This is kind of where you make your money at," said Bumgarner, who is 4-6 at AT&T Park this season. "Its really weird."
