His goal in the 68th minute on a header had given El Salvador a 2-1 lead. Zelaya also scored in the 21st minute on a free kick. He put his shot over the wall and into the net to tie the game at 1. Keon Kelly Daniel gave Trinidad and Tobago a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 10th minute. Daniel took advantage of a loose ball after some confusion on El Salvadors defence.
