Misfits was anything but unbeatable Thursday; constantly failing to read situations properly, and even letting an early game boss sneak up to their keep just eight minutes into the first match of the day. Misfits will have to continue to capitalize on its enemies mistakes if the team expects to push into the finals.Even though GoogleIshetZont was the first team knocked out of the tournament, it can head home knowing full well what needs to be worked on. While the team was able to jump out to early leads in multiple games thanks to some impressive shotcalling, GoogleIshetZont torpedoed any shot at an upset thanks to some odd in-game decisions. While plays like the one that Vlad Sphyxi Trofimov made, in which he chose to engage a level down against Misfits during the tribute, was impressive, the team didnt put together a consistent tournament performance.ExcelenteEleccion, a rag-tag band of former Heroes of the Storm pros from multiple disbanded teams, have shown that even a scattered roster can still put up an incredible fight. While it may have been eliminated from the tournament during group play, the team had a dominant series against The Jabronis, winning 2-1 in a nail-biting set that had momentum swinging moments at nearly every turn. Despite the epic opening matches, ExcelenteEleccion still struggled when squaring off against the upper echelon of the competition, finding themselves quickly 2-0d by Misfits. That forced ExcelenteEleccion into a losers rematch against The Jabronis, with the end result not nearly as favorable as their first matchup, losing 1-2 and getting eliminated in another neck-and-neck series by the upstart organization.Speaking of The Jabronis, the team performed admirably considering it had been together for less than a month. While the first best-of-three series against ExcelenteEleccion went awry, two of the three matches in the series could have gone either way, as ExcelenteEleccion narrowly pulled out the victory.
